I had one "source" tell me something and I have a feeling, he was working on hearsay just like everybody else.

Oh the internet....such a blessing and a curse.

The only facts that I believe is that we will never know what the true numbers were and that Gruden never wanted to negotiate. He came in with a best and final offer before anything ever got started and UT couldn't get the money. I believe Hart was told that he had X amount of money and Gruden wanted a not insignificant amount more. Guys, when you can't buy the house, you can't buy the house.

We all understand that you can't break the bank and give everything to one guy. But, our fanbase really needs it. We are a proud group and have shown year after year that we will support our team.

I am sure I will think differently when football comes around again in 2013, but I don't think I will be spending the time and money that I have the last 15 years. Just too much effort for no results.

Until someone signs the dotted line....there's always hope. In the end, we may end up with Dooley 2.0 while Bama, Florida, UGA, LSU (Heck, everybody besides Kentucky at this point) either passes us by or moves further ahead of us, but still, we are Tennessee. Bigger than General Neyland, and certainly bigger than Jon Gruden. Coaches come and go, players come and go,ADs come and go, the one constant is always us, the fans. Im as disappointed in where we are right now as anyone, but the best response once a Coach is hired is to get behind him and try to support him and this team and do our part to get things squared up. As long as it takes. Doesnt mean we have to agree with everything, doesnt mean we dont have the right to voice our opinions, but in the end, lets all come together again for the good of Tennessee. I am out of here until this coaching circus is finished (maybe)...at least im gonna try to be. I have spent too much work time and too much family time trying to figure out on what day Jon Gruden is gonna be announced as our coach. GBO.

Boro what do you think about the alleged reports coming from Gruden's agent the Gruden is not interested in the Vols???

Thing that really grinds my gears is, it seems Hart has just been sitting on his hands. Supposedly he didn't even contact him until today or the last 24hours. So frustrating...
This is NOT the way you do business.

I'm not blaming anybody. The Knoxville media is just as much at fault here as anybody.

At least we know now.... it sucks...... but, at least we know.

The first two on that list will never happen, but part of me believes that Hart was to blame, and if so-he should be fired. Something needs to change here, or before we know it we will officially become Ole Miss. We're just all going to wake up one day satisfied with 7 wins, and say "what a minute, when did this become a good thing?" Oh yeah, when Dave Hart showed up. For the love of God, can we hire anyone that is competent?

I never cared for Franklin in the past, but I have changed my tune on him. The guy is a rising superstar.

There is not one coach who can recruit better than him and there is not one coach who can motivate better than he can.

Winning 8 games at Vandy is unheard of and unfathomable, considering the scant resources and lack of tradition that they have.

Just a bit more on him. Grab him now, because word on the street is that if Oregon loses Chip Kelly, they want Franklin.

IF his agent is being truthful then who has Hart been talking to? With everything coming out now Hart is going to have to address search sooner than later.
