Interesting tidbit - 2 ways to look at it IMO:

1. All these folks are out of a job or soon will be due to new owner who is in the "UT family", so to speak. So LaMonte could be downright ticked about that and have a bad taste in his mouth toward UT in general

2. LaMonte has so many clients so close to current Browns owner, if Boosters have been involved in any of the Gruden talk, no way (I mean no way), contact with Gruden's agent about UT job didn't happen months ago. Might not have been Hart - but there's no way talk of the UT job just occurred in the last week

Folks - clue in to the misinformation festival that's happening here. Not saying which way this is going to turn out - but a lot more nonsense being spewed in the public eye than common sense suggests is possible.

THIS. is the reason this thread is still open and the reason we have not heard any evidence of talks with anyone else yet. NONE of this adds up. Everyone and their grandma can say Gruden is not coming, but that doesn't expain why "Gruden" says they have not spoken to UT until today and "UT" says Gruden cancelled a meeting with them Wednesday and why the TFP (not TMZ guys, a reputable newspaper) had a very specific report on Gruden today. Not saying he's coming to UT, but we are ALL being lied to left and right

All I can think of is generating revenue, no way CBS, ESPN, KNS, VQ, and everyone is wrong and one singular Chattanooga sports editor is right.

I cannot help but wonder if the Memphis leak and Mike and Mikep thing hurt our cause, it seemed like it was fragile and that could have set things in the wrong direction.
