I think Strong would be the best out of the names floating around right now. Louisville isn't the most impressive team in the nation, but he started with a trainwreck and is really overachieving right now.

I hate to say, but I've read alot on here and there's been several more than said volreporter who claimed 100% done deal. Even last night there were several who said 100% for sure press conference today to announce gruden, and since he has come out again and said no, today they are saying 100% smokescreen? Not hating just a fact.

I posted way back that I don't believe anyone that says 100% either side. Either they don't understand how numbers work, or they have actually been part of the planning process the whoe time.

You may end up being right, but you might consider throwing in a "TIFWIW" after a post like that. I don't have a lot of posts either, but I haven't offered any insider info either. I, like all of the rest of us, can't know anything 100%. The only way anything is 100% is if you have seen the signed contract, or spoken to The Grude himself and heard him say no. Otherwise, any information is second hane and has to be taken with a grain of salt until an announcement is made from UTAD, or The Grude. I believe those that say it's on, but you could be right too. We will all find out one day.... wait for it....

LeMonte denies talking to Hart. (Didn't need to--see boosters)

Hart offers "meeting" this week. Gruden says "no need to meet". (Already did)

Everything is good. Dr. Punch says Hart has his man (this past Monday on WMNL)

Predicted media links occur. UT AD releases "their side of the story"/ boosters release theirs. (Strategy).

CHAOS. Everyone hates somebody. Local reports are telling the truth as it has been told to them (AD). Peripheral reporters are telling the truth as told to them (boosters).
The entire assumption that EVERYONE has had is that HART'S ego and GRUDEN'S ego is bigger than UT.

Maybe just maybe they are all in-for one of the greatest hire's in college football history. AND EGO doesn't matter.

The ONLY way that HART, GRUDEN, THE REPORTS, BOOSTERS, ESPN, AND US COME OUT SMELLING LIKE A ROSE IS........
If Dave Hart announces Gruden as our coach and GIVES all the credit to the boosters and they allowed him to be a part of this.

Fans then love Boosters, Hart etc. Reporters save face as well.

I know I think too much but this is the only reason I can see how this ends well.
My last question is "WHY" go through all this trouble???????

This hiring or a new head coach for UT should have been a reason for the Vol Nation to unite, but the powers that be at UT have made it a huge dividing issue instead.
Just like the reporter stated for the Chattanooga Times; they, UT Administration, would not want the bad PR that this would cause by letting the deal fall through. (paraphrasing).
Hart, if you value your athletes, fan base, and your position status; saying you knew what you are doing; then get this deal done with Gruden and unite this once proud Vol Nation to its former glory!
