If the deal is off, and it seems it is, then I still want to know what happened. Because something occurred last night that tipped this thing over. And i just got word that Hart is in fact an issue. There is more to this...and I am not buying the money for assistants angle.

You hearing the deal is off for good? To me it seems a possibility that they could readdress any issues unless something really bad happened..

I however have no sources

I am still all about Gruden.... but if it goes South... I have always been about good friends and ALL VOL..

I say if there was ever a time we need to stick together as Volunteers, OG's, believers, non-believers, nega-grudes, or just sight seerers... It is now

Rise up to the occasion Tennessee... we are by damn The University of Tennessee a united front to take back our rightful place in the SEC.

Now my rant is over......ha ha ha

IF this doesnt go down, then there will be no more mention of Gruden in these parts...

Not meaning to upset you all-iners, but I believe Dave Hart is driving the bus pretty much alone. I don't get the idea that he even cares about the fan base....think he is going to get the guy HE wants and we can take it or leave...[/QUOTE]

We'll see how that works out for HIM.

While Strong wouldn't be a homerun hire, he would be a solid hire..

That being said, I would be happy with it..One of the reasons being he is a helluva recruiter..He should be given a fair chance if he's hired b/c if we can give Dooley a chance, then surely we can give Strong a fair chance.

The recruit, North, said that Jay Graham told him we are after Gruden, Strong, and others. Why would Jay Graham tell him that if Hart hasn't even spoken to Gruden's agent yet? Does not make sense.

Very true. Plus the reporter of 23 years from CTFP and LaCanfora arent just reading message boards and making this stuff up. Even 3 weeks ago when these rumors starting catching traction Chris Low said in his blog there was legitimate interest from both sides " I dont report message board speculation". There is more to this, if nothing comes out then we can only assume UT dropped the ball and it would be the biggest failure of all time in college athletics.

I would like for you all to take the time and read the article. Then I want you to think about what we have been hearing. Gruden is getting paid by Tampa reported last check this month), he is still on staff with ESPN. He is not going to embarass us. He has a lot of respect for the program that got him started. He must say the things he is saying.
Hart must make plans to keep his job as well. We have seen these things before then BOOM it happens. Maybe not in our time frame. If he does not come to Tennessee then I am sure Mr. Haslam has him on the list for Cleveland job Browns. I know I am going to get a lot of laughs but I STILL BELIEVE that this could happen and when it does you are all going to flip out and Tennessee football is back. I am calling it now. National Championship in 2016. Gruden is our coach. It is a challenge to him and he is all about it.

FTR, I hope like heck I am wrong about him

I seriously wish I was a somebody big time booster right now like Manning or Haslem and had direct contact with Hart. That was we could have a talk and I could ask wtf did you do? and get some answers to share with you all.

Likely so. But we can be all in until its out nonetheless...so no offense taken here...

Also think if he bucks the big money choice...they'll buck him...

This is what I'm talking about. Big name coaches don't just fall in your lap. Big league posturing goes on. Folks like Strong, Fedora, etc beg for the job because it's a step up and it happens quickly. The longer this goes, the better position we are in. Patience
