Logical....Butch Davis has a couple of rings at Dallas. Wonder what hart thinks he can get him for? I suspect 2.9 mil with zero booster dollars. John Brice said this will be the Dave Hart show and does not give a flip what Peyton or $$$$ think. He thought he never bought into Gruden. Looks like gruden was set up by peyton and dollars but they dont have the power to hire.

If we are looking at hiring Al Golden then Butch Davis has to be on that list too. We probably could get him cheap, he is a great recruiter, excellent head coach, he is 61 but very spry...but he could build this program exactly where it needs to be....Pittman and Graham would definetly be retained on his staff too.

I'm just saying...if we are down to Al Golden then we should be looking at him too.

That is a preposterous thought. It is likened to a CEO thinking he or she can do anything with no care what the board has to say.

He wouldn't last a year. In fact, he wouldn't even have the job in the first place. Placating boosters 90 percent of the AD's job.

In one job you get to coach football and in the other all you do is talk about it. He has coaching blood in him and has expressed the desire to get back into coaching at some point.

I thought he was referring to the rumored salaries we've offered him already. I actually would kind of like to see his rumored salary to come down and us still land him. It seems absurd to pay a guy million/s more than saban.
