i think this will be the outcome if hart got in the way. i dont think that fulmer would be named interm coach. they would announce hart replacement with fulmer more likely. they would then leave cheney in control as he is until gruden is ready? remember, haslams have billions, not millions. if u piss them off , well lets just say, i dont want to be on that end.

I like the way you think.

I would have no problem with either one of those..Not homerun hires, just solid hires,IMO.

Yeah, both aren't going to take us to championships, but I feel like that about every hire available this year... I just feel these 2 are the most proven recruiters and have had more than just 1 year of success, the rest may very well be good hires, but they are a gamble based on only 1 good year.

I'm on the Gruden train until I see someone else at the podium.

That said, I would be ecstatic to get Patterson. He's not as splashy of a hire as Gruden, but he may ultimately be a better long term choice.

Here is a name out of left field.....

SEAN PAYTON

I bet we could this rumor started that he is a dark horse for the Tennessee job!!!

A few tweets. A few threads. Create a connection with UT big $$$$ and such.... Bam another rumor. I would love to see rucker and hyams scrambling around trying to figure it out

obviously, if this happened it would very apparant who is coming next.

The longer this carries out, the stronger the pulse gets on the Gruden scenario. It's like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees. Hart won't kill it, and it refuses to die on its own.

At this point the only way to kill it is to hire another coach.

I don't know, he's lost some luster for me lately with the subpar season and the huge coke ring fiasco. Just saying

While we're at it lets get Bozo the Clown as OC and the Easter Bunny for DC. I really think Easter Bunny will come if we pony up the cash and maybe give him partial ownership of the local farmers market

I think Gruden would be better long term if he did make it his destination.

But I definitely agree that Patterson should be #1 after Gruden. He know what it means to win, knows X's and O's, focuses on defense, has build TCU from a nothin team to a leader in the big 12, and could potentially recruit Texas. If not Gruden, I'm full on board with Patterson.
