It was before, I saw a few people coming on that night saying they got bad news, and then the tweet about looking for a big story in a Chatt news paper, then the tweet was deleted, then the story came out.

Before. 10p. That whole day was like the twilight zone. Conflicting leaks all over the place, then my news deal was off, then the article in TFP.

I think most of the searching is going on way outside of Knoxville.

What's it say when I trust media in Chicago (close to where I live) more than Knoxville media? Wes Rucker commented the Bielema news was indeed news to him on Twitter. Maybe these people need to cultivate some sources outside of Knoxville for a change. :crazy:

Idk who your sources are and won't ask, but they seem pretty high. Even if what they said is absolutely correct, you hearing from them that close to each other seems unnatural. Just another thing in the whole process that leaves a lot of unanswered questions.

I'm relatively new here, have no sources at all, have been reading since Gruden VIII. I am all for Gruden! :rock:

Having said all that, with this talk of someone else we have not thought of being possibly hired, it got the wheels in my head turning.

What if:

We contacted Gruden like most seem to believe.

We asked him if he was interested in job. He may have said yes but eventually changed his mind, or he could have said no from the get go. Either way, when he said no he offered up a suggestion of someone who might be interested. Someone who we have not thought of hiring without Gruden paving a way for us.

We contact said person and negotiations commence.

Recently, the media and fans start trying to figure out who the next coach is going to be. Attention goes to Gruden (as it should). :good!:

Gruden then becomes, for lack of a better word, a smokescreen for the guy we're actually going after. As the search continues, false info is leaked from both the AD and Boosters to try to keep attention away from unknown hire.

Could possibly explains Hart's actions (or lack of sinc Gruden and boosters could be doing most of the work), LaMonte's statement, why Gruden hasn't released statement. Perhaps they are working all together for this one hire and the notion of them all fighting has been a big "smokescreen."

Still want Gruden, but if not, wouldn't it be interesting if he helped us get a different coach? Okay, flame away.

Blue coconuts are hard to deal with. If that sticky banana goes unconsumed, I say Pumba becomes the new little chief and he will get the sticky banana in place.

Wondering if someone got word that TFP was going to release that article and called a meeting and people got chewed out and the misdirection plan was put into place. LOL I know sounds crazy but wouldn't surprise me.

I think someone was insisting it may be Cowher because Gruden is close to Cowher.

Sandy, believe or not I actually heard someone inside the AD float this suggestion yesterday. I don't really pay attention to them right now bc they've been so far out of the loop. But to them it makes more sense than the notion he was actually a real candidate.
