They do if they want future access. Look how far 247 fell down the totem pole after the Haney article. They didn't break a single story all year until Brice threw Ramey a bone..

His box was amazing and he spoiled our kids with whatever their hearts desired. After the game, he invited us to join him and his crew for dinner, which we accepted. I was going to try and help with the bill, but it never came or at least I never saw it. After dinner, we said our goodbyes and he had someone drive us back to our car. What an unbelievable night that my family will remember for years to come.

The CBS article was very specific on certain contract terms. It is weird that they would all of a sudden know that information with the search being so secretive. The national media throws out every available coaches name in our search showing that they know nothing, yet today they can say we have met with Gruden and contract would be around $10 mil, $8 mil for assistants, Tee, etc.

Yeah a couple weeks ago they told us we were crazy. Crazy like a fox I guess then.
