When I suggested the same early on in this thread I was rebuffed immediately with post about "Do I not know how much Ergen is worth" etc.

However I have NOT been thoroughly convinced that Ergen is behind this ...

I know. But, maybe Ergen is just not as much of an egomaniac and as loud as Haslam. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. If the rest of the group is to assume control, they have to be united, they have to be loud, and they have to never flinch.

I don't understand the argument from the media supporting schiano. Legislators and press secretary involvement in a college coaching hire would tell me to keep my mouth shut. I think this may have come back to bite them.

Personally I don't care what they say. I won't support a team with someone like that leading it. Targeting qb knees in victory formations? Perhaps you should coach to not have opposing qbs in victory formations.
