That student section at KC is really second-to-none. We have been to games all over the state and I am always blown away by those students and their energy.

Guys I've been 100% on the Gruden train for a long time now. Spent sleepless night in here and checked in every chance at work. But with everything that's happened I've been at the end of my rope. I think I have officially let go of said rope. It has been a fun ride up until Sunday, and I hope I can still come in here and converse with you all. But I am officially at 0% on Gruden. I held on as long as I could but Currie killed it.

Right now he will have to prove himself to get any quality kids to look at this school. Will not pick up huge recruits unless he turns it around

His big brother is a senior at MTSU, chose not to go to UT, he is choosing the same route right now. Can't say that i blame them. My oldest is a journalism major and does quite a bit for MTSU. Classy folks there, I enjoy going to Floyd stadium.

Look, I believed we were going after/getting Gruden just as much as anyone else in this thread. I admit that and own up to it 100%. But given what we've seen and what we know at this time, anyone who thinks that Gruden has more than a .00000001% chance to be the next coach at the University of Tennessee is just beyond hopeless.

Yes, they'll have plenty of time to make something up. It'll go a little something like this:

Boosters got Gruden to agree to a deal, Currie said nah. Currie then went "rogue" under the order of Haslam and tried to hire Schiano.

Basically they'll say that the boosters tried to conduct the coaching search without the AD being involved one bit, and some idiots will believe it.

Have you not read a damn thing in this thread or others about Jimmy Haslam and his damn fascination with Schiano. Do a damn google search for Cleveland Brown's, Jimmy Haslam and Greg Schiano.

This is all freaking Jimmy Haslam's doing - he reportedly told other boosters he would stay out of this hire but he could not resist. There have been numerous non fringe media people reporting that in fact many boosters were in an uproar over the moves made by the AD.

FYI - an AD at a Power 5 conference does not pick the freaking football coach - the boosters do.

Jimmy Haslam tried to pull a dirty sanchez on the other big money boosters and the fan base but he got caught.

Answer me this - what AD at a major Power 5 conference school sits in his office and says well you know what I think Greg Schiano is a great fit for UT after Butch Jones knowing Schiano's college record was not as good as Jones - knowing that Schiano's history at Tampa Bay??? Knowing the Penn State garbage.....

This has the Jimy Haslam stench all over it. And Jimmy Haslam got caught again today in federal court!
