Man, I'm really trying to let this thread cheer me up, but I just can't. I'm down in the freaking dumps today. The fact that this thread still exists with virtually no chance of it actually happening now is kinda like pulling the legs off of a spider. I would LOVE to see a post by someone who actually knows the makeup of the BoT --Jim vs Jimmy vs both, which boosters are actually on the BoT, is there a separate athletic BoT, all that.

An awful lot of people name names, and there's not a ton of consistency among them.

Agree 100% but why does this feel staged? I believe there’s is a reason for all of this. No AD or person in general could/would go through what happened last night and have not already said something. I have a hole in my stomach this am and don’t believe this roller coaster ride is over. Don’t believe the Haslams have purposely put the University in harms way. My daughter who is a sophomore at UT could care less about football other than it’s a sorority social event and she attended her 1st demonstration last night. With all that said and me not being an insider..... I think it’s soon.

Currie, Davenport and Haslam hunkered down trying to figure out how they can save themselves. I think they are toast.

What if Currie realizes the only way to save his job is to give the fans what they want and hire Gruden. After yesterday I think he's probably too incompetent and cocky to even realize it, but that really is the one and only thing that could save him at this point.

Dont believe the Haslams have purposely put the program in harms way? Really? You can thank the Haslems for firing our HOF coach mid season, hiring that piece of crap kiffin, then doofus dooley, botch jones, then just tried to hire another crappy coach who is tied in with pedophilia. Yeah, the Haslams just love UT. Can't you tell. About as much as they love the Cleveland Browns. Haslams are the #1 problem and enemy of UT football.

I would say if Gruden truly wanted to be the coach of UT then he would be the coach. There have been plenty of opportunities for him to take the job and he hasn't. Maybe he is asking too much? Maybe he simply doesn't want to coach but likes the attention? Who knows but I do believe UT has reached out to him on more than one occasion and to what level I don't know that anyone will ever truly know.
