Haslam/Currie in 1 corner.
Non haslam crew in another.
Fulmer playing the angles.

Haslam crew feeds the boosters 1 name and plans for Schiano behind the scenes.
Fulmer either directly befriends Haslam in the process or uses PM as a proxy.
Fulmer (and non haslams?) work up the masses to expect Gruden.
When the time comes they expose Haslam/Currie.
No one expects the rapid melt down of Schiano. It was supposed to be an erosion.
Haslam/Currie panic and start grasping for straws. PM or Fulmer is feeding them names.
Behind the scenes Fulmer is calling the prospects and undermining the process.
As a safety net Davenport sits back and vetos anything that passes through.
Currie finally makes a misstep and Fulmer strikes.

Anything to this?

I’m going to tell you all a story about Phil Fulmer. Many of you know that I lost my teenage son a few months ago. He was born in ‘98 and was a surviving twin. That fall my husband and I were grieving the loss of one son and our other son was in the NICU hanging onto life by a tenuous thread. We had been through so many crises as any parent of a child in the NICU can tell you is just the way it is. We were grieving, scared and exhausted. We happened to catch the end of our football game vs Arkansas I believe - the one where their quarterback inexplicably fumbled and we came back to win? My husband had just said, “Well, that’s the ballgame.” I replied, “You never know what can happen!” He said, “All he has to do is take a knee.” Then the fumble happened and I KNEW that ANYTHING truly can happen and my son DID have a chance to make it! All things are possible! I knew from my faith, of course, that God could heal our son but for some reason seeing the end of that game gave me more hope.

I wrote a letter to Coach Fulmer after that thanking the team for not giving up and for showing that anything is possible. I received a very nice letter back from him telling me he read the letter to the team. He is a kind man with great character and compassion. I still have that letter.

It’s easy to say “It’s just football,” but as the poster whose son has depression commented and as our situation proves - sometimes it means MUCH more than just a game.

Fulmer is in a great spot right now. Remember, he wanted the position when it was given to Currie. Just sit tight and let things play out. Fulmer will bring in someone who really wants to be at Tennessee and I'm sure we will be fine. After that, he has a clear path to being full time Athletic Director. This is what we need.

Also, I don't believe Haslam is going away from Tennessee no matter how many emails are sent. Just my opinion. If anything is gonna happen on that front, it will have to come from the other boosters. Let them do their thing behind the curtain. That's gonna be a looooong drawn out process.

I can't wait to see that little orange man with the blonde bowl cut on the sidelines! Nothing like a blonde Mo Howard cut and a good Valencia orange grimace to fire up the boys! I've been a fan for years of the man. Silly faces and all!!!

I will tell you what if you're right I will cut the prettiest 2 inch thick USA Prime Rib Eye steak and cook it for you, watch you eat it with your favorite beverage and watch a smile of satisfaction and pure bliss(cause that's how good my steaks are) come across your face. I will enjoy every minute of it! I HOPE THAT YOU ARE RIGHT GRUDEN TO THE HILL!

My apologies if I missed this and it has already been addressed...but if Haslam and Currie were behind the Gruden block, how does only one half of that equation being solved equate to Gruden wanting/able to come? Can Fulmer be that much of an insulator and negotiator to make it happen? I hope so, but still have questions. Again, my apologies if already addressed and answered.

So, it's safe to assume that the "fire Currie" protest scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. If you shared the event on social media please share that it will not be held.

Now it's Time to prepare for a CJG celebration.
