Here's a question. When Saban shot down any chance of him going to Bama, where there rumors of Bama getting real close to announcing someone else? Or interviewing other coaches like we are? How about Ohio St. when Meyer shot down the rumors?

I'm curious to know.

The headline says Vols want Charlie Strong but in the article it just states he has emerged as the front runner. We are getting close to dangerous territory here. The Ath. Dept. isn't going to release info (to Hubbs/Lowe/Hyams) and then have us turned down by Strong. I'm not liking where this is going. Too close for comfort.

I agree with the Dooley part and for that reason, I can't agree with the Kiffin part. Strong will so exposed as a coach he won't have an opportunity to leave...he will be dropkicked out of town in 3-4 years...

It really should be noted that ESPN's sources are Hubbs and Hyams and the article doesn't read like the title suggests.

Nobody out here had even thought about him. The kick in the balls for them is Malzahn. He was their "home guy made good". Everyone I know (which thank God isn't too many) out here figured he would only leave ASU for AU.

They were all set to announce Rich Rodriguez when he suddenly changes his mind and decided to stay at WVU.

I bet we hear something 2m...The UT Fulmer induction is 2n in NYC and Tenn will probably wait till Wednesday for an announcement. I have a feeling around noon 2m we will be hearing that Strong is UT's next coach. It makes the most sense. JMO
