I'm not sure I know what you're getting at. I would stand and applaud anyone who has that information readily available. Looking this up would not even justify a modicum of effort in my eyes.

Furthermore, I'm not sure it really matters. If he were staying he would fill those needs, but he's not and he wants to have an open line to the recruits he wants to follow him. Read what I wrote again, I don't know what you're trying to dispute.

You said he only had 10 commits because he's leaving the program. My point is maybe he only has a handful of spots to fill in the first place and is almost full.

So he was a mediocre recruiter at UL and yet his record was 41-9? And you say Strong was a good recruiter at UL and his record is 24-13? That Strong sure can coach em' up!

U cant use facts with pro strong they r the same crowd that talked about how great cdd was and was going to win 10 games this year..

Strong is a weak hire n we will never be able to fire his butt if he suxs.

I think people misunderstand the 18 million. I believe a significant portion was for a hire, but some was to even the keel in the AD.

Another example of the Knoxville media's fine reporting:

John Adams ‏@johnadamskns
Charlie Strong would fit UT's six-letter standard. He would be the seventh consecutive UT head coach with six letters in his last name..

STRONG
123456

RETARD works also...

Pretty indicative of what Neyland is going to look at if you look at the Strong thread compared with this one. Great financial move...if true.

we'll see how "strong" you think he is on sept 14 when the ducks wipe our a$$ with his defense

and then,

"oh but he hasn't had time yet"
"he doesn't have his guys yet"
"he needs at least three years"

and after all that you will all be on here for OJG CXV (115)

Gundy was the only one on your list remotely interested.

Isn't that the point.....this program was an elite program. Now as far as top tier coaches are concerned we are no longer appealing....for whatever reason. We need a major force to turn the tides. I still pray for Gruden because he would represent that type of hire that is a tide-changer. I like strong he was one of my favorites also and I hope is lives up to what everyone naively promises. I would love to be wrong. However I dont think anyone considers him an elite coach. Practice like you want to play...

Strong is a weak hire imo

I agree, after watching his presses yesterday and imploding...I made myself even sicker by listening to more of the practice updates, post game presses and alike. At first I felt he was a decent hire purely from game and record standpoint but IMO he comes off as arrogant, unprofessional and standoffish...maybe he would change my mind? To me Tennessee football has always been about tradition and until kiffin, family....strong played for some ****hole college in Arkansas, coached the gators and has nothing to do with ut football and to boot is not a huge hire! Allotting 18 million dollars for him makes me pissed and utterly disappointed to say the least!
