You change your mind more than I change my underwear.... there is NO REPORT that Strong has been named Coach
I am sure you can spread your lies in his thread
So if we had to counter offer at 4mil for Strong, do you still think he is a good value.
Consider carefully that Urban Meyer makes 4.5 at tOSU.
That would likely make Strong in the top 10 coaching salaries.
David Shaw at Stanford makes 1.5 mil a year. Chip Kelly makes 2.8.
RT @wvltrick: #Louisville Ath. dept. official tells our CBS affiliate in Louisville
Charlie Strong shrugs off notion of coming to Tennessee...
@jdemling: Shortridge told Cardinal Authority he asked Hurtt and the coach told him Charlie Strong "is not leaving."
all coming together. Leaking out of UL now
wtf are you talking about? I questioned a pissed off poster saying he was bailing on the program if his guy didn't get the job.
If you think the same, I'll light you up as well.
Again, the list of jackasses that don't know wtf they are talking about grows again, shockingly.
strong isn't worth three. He has been a coach for three seasons, has played one ranked opponent and until this year his record was 14-13. What does everyone see in him?
He may very well turn out to be a good coach, but tennessee has already taken a chance on one unproven guy... And we know how that turned out. Put louisville in any other power conference besides the big east this season and they would not be in a bcs bowl. Louisville won 10 games this year, 6 of which by a touchdown or less. I don't see it, and i don't understand why some are so pleased about this.
You guys that want strong, tell me why?
absolutely not, I have listed several reasons why Strong would be a great coach and all of them have been shot down. I was a believer at one point as were many on this site, but this article
Vols moving on from Gruden - SEC Blog - ESPN
changed my opinion.
"Coach Gruden has let us know that he's not interested, and we're pursuing other candidates," a Tennessee official told ESPN.com.
Look, I haven't been here long for this thing. And after having credible information that the gruden deal was going to happen I got info to the contrary and posted it as soon I felt it was reliable. Now I'm fairly well resigned to the fact that something happended at the 11th hour, or perhaps even that there were some aspects to this coming off I wasn't made aware of. Could've been a lot of things.
If JG isn't the guy, what I want everyone to find out is...what the heck happened? This doesn't make any damn sense folks based in what I/we knew.
Was it Hart?
Did new terms crop up that we couldn't agree to?
Did Gruden get a call from an NFL team at midnight Wednesday?
Did our team balk when pressed for the deal?
What?
Really, I'm just a fan that got wind of some good news and was excited. I don't have anything personally invested in the outcome other than it was exciting. So...WTH?
