If it is indeed Strong....can you imagine the constrast with those Orange Pants.....certainally eye opening

absolutely not, I have listed several reasons why Strong would be a great coach and all of them have been shot down. I was a believer at one point as were many on this site, but this article

Vols moving on from Gruden - SEC Blog - ESPN

changed my opinion.

Tell your dad to read the post to you again. It says MOST. Strong is a average coach in an average conference. He can't even match recruiting classes with the top half of what's left of the little east. How's he gonna recruit against the likes of Saban? Absolutely disappointed we didn't get Gruden but I am thoroughly disgusted we settled for a hire this underwhelming. SMDH

Look, I haven't been here long for this thing. And after having credible information that the gruden deal was going to happen I got info to the contrary and posted it as soon I felt it was reliable. Now I'm fairly well resigned to the fact that something happended at the 11th hour, or perhaps even that there were some aspects to this coming off I wasn't made aware of. Could've been a lot of things.

If JG isn't the guy, what I want everyone to find out is...what the heck happened? This doesn't make any damn sense folks based in what I/we knew.

Was it Hart?

Did new terms crop up that we couldn't agree to?

Did Gruden get a call from an NFL team at midnight Wednesday?

Did our team balk when pressed for the deal?

What?

Really, I'm just a fan that got wind of some good news and was excited. I don't have anything personally invested in the outcome other than it was exciting. So...WTH?

And you haven't gotten anything from your sources since? Why, after hearing from them for weeks, did they go silent?? Million $$ question.

You know college players can't sign autographs, right? NCAA rules.

Nice try though :good!:

not true......happens all the time; cannot be a paid entrance fee...has to be free to the public; but legal; Ohio state traded signed swag for tats...no quid pro quo

I'm sorry...THE Ohio State (don't want to offend those snob *itches)

Strong isn't worth three. He has been a coach for three seasons, has played one ranked opponent and until this year his record was 14-13. What does everyone see in him?

He may very well turn out to be a good coach, but Tennessee has already taken a chance on one unproven guy... and we know how that turned out. Put Louisville in any other power conference besides the Big East this season and they would not be in a BCS bowl. Louisville won 10 games this year, 6 of which by a touchdown or less. I don't see it, and I don't understand why some are so pleased about this.

You guys that want Strong, tell me why?

You guys, please get on board and support this average hire. You're like, not a real fan and stuff. CCS is worth, like, at least 4.5 you guys.

He's going to like, recruit a lot and stuff. You'll see.

But didn't your source say you'd be excited with the hire?

I think there was some contract or legal reason he needed to keep it quiet, and the media blew it....I'm hoping it was just shy away and postpone.....I wanna beleive that, but part of me thinks the publicity killed it or hopefully just almost did.

Thanks man!! Appreciate it

Hate to disagree, but those bloodthirsty bastards would leak if it were their momma...

I just don't see them disrespecting Fulmer by talking coaching search with the media tonight. It also wouldn't look good in front of a new HC for the UTAD to do so.
