You may be right. I just listed a few though. There are many others too. I think we can agree that Hart will be judged on this hire two to three years down the road. Stakes are higher than I can ever remember. It will be difficult for our program to dig out from another lackluster hire. Season ticket sales are down, merchandise sales are down and donations are not what they need to be. We are lucky to be selected for the 3:30 time slot for CBS. It will be sad to see beautiful Neyland with 60-80k regularly. Whomever this coach is they better be able to excite the fan base and then give them something to cheer for. Enjoyed the discussion Bruin.

This... I get so mad at this coaching search because those bammer fans can get a big name hire, and when we get ready to go after on somehow we can't for all these "reasons" Well heck fire, we are Tennessee. We ought to have three times the coach that bammer or any other school has. Dang it all if vandy has a more stable program then us. And all we have are bush league lower than truly greatest of all time coaches. I refuse to believe this. We are Tennessee. We are better than b league coaches. Its time for the return to greatness..

Rucker is a joke with a smokescreen mission. If it is true I will be upset for the following reasons:
1) Gruden's agent was not lying (Fantasy)
2) Mr. Hart did not have to give us any info on the search. But @least tell the mass of fans Gruden said no
3) Gruden could have said thanks but no thanks

Wait, so Mora isn't in play either??? lol So who IS in play? I've heard rumors that all 3 and Fisher are out of play now...we need to get to the bottom of things and where these rumors are coming from.

Btw, couldn't help but think: "I have heard from a couple of places in the last hour or
so that Hart is planning on doing another interview in the morning in
New York."
I wonder where Jon Gruden will be headed after Washington tonight, New York perhaps? :)

Good post. I agree totally that hart will be judged with this hire and it will be 2 and 3 years down the road. Most will judge him with the wow factor at the presser and that means nothing to me. Just win!!! That's all that matters and we have some names that I believe will do just that!

Well I am with Liper. I have kind of mentally checked out. I am just not paying attention anymore. I am holding firm that it is Gruden. Will not believe otherwise until I see a different coach. I don't think anything will break tomorrow or Wednesday. Can't really say why, just doesn't feel right.
