OG types, wrong though you may have been, you initiated a wellspring of hope the likes of which I have never seen around here. It was fun to believe that UT could pull a Gruden caliber hire in here. I will never know how close we got, and that is ok. It was fun to believe for a while! Maybe we will be doing this again in a few years, or maybe BJ will perform better than expected and we can avoid a coaching hire for a while. I hope he does well with the program we LOVE.

The least scary thing are the people that are angry. That means you have passion and care. Those people shouldn't be treated like pond scum by local media and the self proclaimed "real fans". The thing that does worry me is the apathy in our fanbase. I have had a lot of people say to me "Ah, I don't really care anymore. I have not watched them in a while."

Whats scary is the fact that about three people have taken over UT and has totally destroyed it and as fans we are being told to shut up give us your money and like it! Our only vote is with ticket sale reductions and steady complaints to the state of Tennessee.

I would love to know what you have to say on the matter. I know that Stephen Hargis is an honest reporter and so is Gary Haskew. We're not being told the truth here. I suspect that Hargis pissed off a lot of people with his article, because they had to go over someone's head to make this happen, and when the article broke, it may have ruined the whole thing. Purely speculation though. Regardless, I'd love to know what you think.
