Really has stepped his game up two notches. He did a good job staying in front of his man tonight defensively. His shot looks so smooth right now as well.

I have never understood why he has received so much grief from Vol fans. A self made true homegrown Vol that plays his ass off with hustle regardless of his productivity. That's all I needed to make him my favorite early in his career.

Let's just hope he keeps it up. I am thoroughly impressed though. His biggest accomplishment is playing adequate D. Add some good shooting, and you get a valuable contributor.

He is a true walkon junior. I would say that he is right on schedule for contributing. Only idiots thought he should have been playing this well all along. Kudos to McStache for his hard work and excellent play.

The idiots were the ones who held on to his Kansas game, and kept calling him a specialist when he was shooting 30% in league play...... It is great to see him playing this well.

I know Coach Martin told McBee if he started the season with the stach he wasn't allowed to shave it but does the same logic apply to his hair? He is starting to look a bit like a homeless guy.

I was never one of those guys that held onto the Kansas game but the hate for him on here over the last couple of years has been ridiculous.

So true. You'd think he was averaging 25 ppg after the Kansas game with all the hype he was getting. And then when he didn't, people lost their minds and blamed him for everything.

It was those people that caused the problem in hyping him up after one game.

It mainly came from when he would be like 1-10 shooting and play atrocious D.

Find me the games where he did that, and I'll show you 2-3 other players who played just as poorly the same game. A lot of those shots were him trying to bail out our non-existent offense.

This thread is talking about McBee, not others. If you go back and look, all the players get praises when the play well, and they don't when they play bad.
