The main reason is because he is confident right now in his shot.

I agree. Watching him in the shoot around before the games over the last three years I knew he could shoot because I counted the % of makes he had and he had to get comfortable with shooting in game.

He is a combined 2-16 in those 4 loses though.

So a guy only averages 4 shots a game and is the first one to be blamed? I mean, c'mon now even you should be able to admit how dumb that is. 4 shots isn't going to cause a loss even if he stood still on the defensive end the whole game.

I didn't say first to blame, (unlike you with Golden). I simply am pointing out, this team pretty much goes the way Skylar goes.

However, he has:

0-2 against Oakland.(L)
1-7 against UNCA
0-5 against Memphis(L)
1-5 against Georgia(L)
0-3 against Vandy(L)
1-6 against Kentucky(L)

some of Golden's numbers:

3-19 Memphis (L)
1-9 APSU (L)
4-11 Oakland (L)
1-8 UNCA (L)
2-11 Vandy (L)
1-6 UK (L)

See, I can pull stats from random games too, 12-64 shooting. Guess which column I needed my computer's calculator for? Pulling stats from a player's worst games is pointless. If we judged everyone off their 5 worse games, we wouldn't get very far. I prefer to look at a player's full season of work instead of 5 games where they sucked. Can't you just give the kid credit for improved 100 fold since he's been here? It's like day and night from the day he set foot on campus till now. If every player had worked as hard as he has, we'd be about 23-2.

If you could read, you would see I have gave him credit many times. BTW, I was pretty much asked to bring in stats.

You have yet to give Golden any credit, BTW, Can you give him some credit?

But that's the thing, it's not that way at all. This team goes with Golden. If he does his job, we still have a shot even if Skylar goes 1/15 from 3. It's been well documented this season that if Golden plays awful, we lose. Not hating on Golden at all, it's just the facts. He's played great the last few weeks, and guess what? We haven't lost.

Let's stop all this bickering and just enjoy The fact that Skylar and Trae are both playing good ball.

To be honest, I think I would attribute part of Skylar's success to Martin putting some confidence in him with the starts. Kid was a stud in high school, and then becomes a hard working role player who made some mistakes. I could definitely see how he could lose that shooter's edge.

Regardless, CCM has really turned us around from where we were two months ago, and I am really excited for how this season closes out, the recruiting process, and seein how we gel over the off season.

I how Skylar keeps it up, because we are 11-0 when he scores ten or more.

The exact same thing could be said for him and Skylar.

Agreed, in reality I should have started a Cuonzo appreciation thread. This guy is going to be special for us. Once we give these players a full year under his system, and a few more talented recruits we are going to be just disgusting on defense. Watch out nation.

Here is one of mine on McBee

Not gonna argue anymore, just don't get your expectations too high because inevitably he will have more bad games during his career just like all players. But the last thing I will say about it is that the kid works his ass off and he went from being one of my least favorite players his freshman year to my favorite player this year along with Maymon. Those 2 dudes get after it 110% when they're on the court and that's all I can ask for as a fan. Love where this team is headed.
