Official Nashville Predators Thread

Hope you're right. According to commercials I keep seeing on FSS, we ARE going to win the Stanley Cup. So, I'm excited about that, but we'll probably have to spend some $$$ to do it.

It has always been a catch-22 in Nashville. Increased tickets sales would lead to increased budget. A deep playoff run(s) would be needed to increase those sales.

Hopefully last year was finally the spark we needed. So many years hitting that 14.5k average attendance for revenue sharing is was kept us out of the red, and frankly, in Nashville.

Adding Rick Nash would make this team even better than the Foresburg added team years ago. Regardless of the outcome, that team was loaded. This could be our most talented team ever in Nashville IMO.

I always thought Nashville had a crazy good following for the Preds. I've never been to a game in Bridgestone Arena, though. I want to this year or next. I've seen them play in the United Center, though, and let me just say, I hope that's not representative of how well Nashville travels. It was on a weeknight, and Chicago is a good distance from Nashville.

I've been to three games this season. One on a Tues, Sat, and a Sunday. All three games had very good attendance. Both weekend dates the arena was full. Tuesday night was a little less, but still a good crowd.

The last two seasons have been much better than any other years.

30 Minutes left...We want Nash, We want Cup.

Paul Gaustad to Nashville, no info yet. I really hope we didn't give up the first they wanted.

Good pick ups today, but a 1st is a little high for an improved version of Smithson. We've definitely bulked up the penalty kill with Gill and Gaustad. They are the types of guys you need in the post season. I'm ready to see this team make a run!

Really nice pickup in Gaustad, I love how aggressive Poile has been this trade deadline. It's to bad the Nash trade didn't work out, but I think the front office is showing the commitment to win.

what's the **** luck chance we pass the Wings in the standings by the time we play them on the 30th of March?

Preds pregame, game and postgame atmosphere in and around the arena on a thursday or saturday night is tough to beat in the NHL.

You wouldn't believe how many pretty women there are at a game too. I mean all over the place.

They didn't pay well together before
Along with everyone else in Montreal. Trotz did it with one borther, hope he can with the other. But I get what you're saying. I hope the little bro rubs off on big bro and not the other way around.

Preds added big center Paul Gaustad from Buffalo. Cost the Predators a first-round pick (the Preds got a fourth-round pick back in the deal)

Preds gave up a 1st and 2nd for 3 players that can be significant contributors and fill roles in weaknesses that have popped up in the playoffs in the past. Considering these will be late round 1st and 2nd, preds hit a home run. Doesn't guarantee success in post season, but odds certainly increased.

I'm so glad we picked up another Kostitsyn brother. Nothing gets me going quite like when Terry Crisp says Kostitsyn!

Speaking of Detroit. That's who the Preds would play in the first round if the season ended today. The Western Conference is FN loaded.

Its more than likely the Blues or the Redwings....That's a tough draw no matter who it ends up being.
