Official Nashville Predators Thread

Maybe Pekks isa spoiling me, but anybody think Lindback gives up too many rebounds. He's looked lost lately.

We looked tired and flat, but the refs were atrocious. No flow at all to the game. They managed to blow an offsides then called a hooking penalty which was actually a stick lift. It was bs. Andrei was clearly out of sync with his new linemates. That wasn't really a surprise.

I worry about additions. We'll see what happens. I think that's also a reason for flow issues. I hope the past doesn't repeat itself. Right now, 0-1.

You think we lost this game because of AK?

Not at all.

Sometimes things change because things change. I hope they change for the better. I've just been to too many big games here and thought the team prior to late additions may have done better down the stretch.

Team chemistry was just broken. Adding a good player doesn't mean the team will be better.

I get what your saying but it's to early to start worrying about chemistry issues.

Are you kidding me? The loss was mostly because they we tired. Their flight was delayed out of LA and they didn't get to Carolina until game day. They didn't even have a morning skate. Add the fact that this was their 5th game in the last 7 days or so... AK's first time on the ice with the players was game time and only played 12 minutes. Gaustad didn't even play. Chemistry had nothing to do with the loss.

Our schedule is too tough to be getting dominated by the likes of Carolina. Granted they had tired legs with the f'ed up travel schedule. Saw Weber state how tired the team was and that they needed a day off.

You won't win if you give the other team 6 power play chances. Oh well.

They are like 5-1-1 in their last 7 games if not mistaken. Not saying they are going to win the cup or anything, but losing a road game after not even being able to practice in the morning because of a delayed flight from LA to Carolina isn't the end of the world.

Did you read my other posts?

Chemistry is always tested when new teammates come on board, regardless if you think it is or not. Hopefully they gel. However, some past late season additions have not only not helped, but the Preds have become a worse team on occasion after adding more talent.

Again...they add 2 players. One plays for 12 minutes and the other doesn't play. The one that did play, the first time he hits the ice was game time since due to a delayed flight from one coast to the other. They lose and it's because of chemistry? Isn't that jumping the gun just a little too quick?

Guys, they just played 8 games in 14 days, had the terrible backup goalie in the game, weren't able to practice with the new guy who still looked okay out there, and were absolutely screwed by the referees. All that and they managed to keep the score close and have multiple chances to tie at the end. They will be fine

Also, that 8 game stretch was easily the toughest such stretch all year. 11 out of 16 possible points is good in damn near any 8 game stretch. It's phenomenal in one where you play 6 or 7 of 8 against likely playoff teams, including 3 of the top 4 teams in your conference
