I have been a Preds fan for awhile... but I don't think I have ever been MORE of a fan now then in past years.... and it seems to keep growing...

Grew up a Hurricanes fan as I am from Raleigh. When they won the cup in 2006 (Coach Laviolette was coach of this team at the time) it was amazing the type of support the team gained during that run. The city was electric. The youth leagues that I played in my whole childhood were now full and had waiting lists. Being a hockey fan it was incredible to see. Unfortunately, they haven't been very good since and a lot of support died. The good thing is I think the preds are built for longer success. The core of this team is young and sustainable. Im excited to watch them grow over the next few years or so.

Where did you live in Raleigh? I lived in the Wake Forest area for about 10 years. Worked on Fayetteville St. Commute down Capital Blvd S-U-C-K-E-D!!! Move to Gallatin about 2 years ago and glad to be back in God's country (TN). Go Preds!!!

I lived at the edge of Cary/Apex but lived on NC state campus area for a couple years too. Capital Blvd was the worst, especially during commuting times. I moved to San Diego for a few years in the military and am now in Nashville. Going back to Raleigh to visit friends in a couple months and am excited to see Raleigh. Havent been back in almost 5 years. I still follow the canes but been following the Preds for a few years now too.

Preds going to take game 1 tonight! Go Preds!

Lotta people jumping on the Preds bandwagon now. They are not favored to win it all in Vegas (Pittsburgh and Anaheim have better odds) but almost every prediction I've seen by a talking head has Nashville winning in 6 or 7.

A huge key for Nashville is getting at least a split of Games 1 and 2. When you do that as the team that doesn't have home ice advantage you effectively gain home ice advantage for the rest of the series.
