Official Nashville Predators Thread

So why did he take his goalie out?

A team gets an extra player when they take the goalie out. Since they were down 2 goals with about 3 minutes left in the game, going for 6 player v 5 player matchup is the move most teams would have done.

Though as you saw, the flipside with it is that if the other team gets the puck, it's pretty easy for them to score even from as far as the other end of the ice.

As much as I thought they were done after game 2, they have really gotten off the ropes with their performances in games 3 and 4.

I still think they are against some odds - it's a best of 3 series now with 2 games on the road, but if they can somehow win game 5 they are in prime position. I'm not sure they win game 5 though; probably going 7. It's all going to come down to how Pekka plays. That's a 3-3 game at the end of regulation if Pekka doesn't stand on his head.

We really come alive in periods 2 & 3.

Rinne is the new NO,NO,NO guy in that commercial. Not in my house.

After game 2, I was pretty worried. I figured we'd play better at home but hot damn. Way better than I expected. It's a new series now and the momentum is all Preds. Murray has to be rattled. I almost expect a change at goal for the Oens

They still see Nashville as the new kid on the block. It's funny to watch as a lifelong hater of everything Pittsburg.

Yep. It's the exact same reaction a fan of a traditional college football program (like Tennessee) would have of a more "upstart" program. And we would say the exact same things about them that Pens fans say about Preds fans and Nashville.

- "Not a football school"
- "Bless their hearts, they play in a 50,000 seat stadium"
- "They don't know the sport all that well"
- "They've only had a good program for a few years"

Odd fact Pennington brought up on his show. Outside of Nashville and Pittsburgh, Knoxville had the highest share for game 3 viewing nationwide. That's wild wacky stuff
