Official Nashville Predators Thread

Odd fact Pennington brought up on his show. Outside of Nashville and Pittsburgh, Knoxville had the highest share for game 3 viewing nationwide. That's wild wacky stuff

I know it is not in the United States, but I wonder what the ratings in Montreal are. I was up there a couple of weeks ago and there was great interest in the WCF because of Subban.

It's hockey..............its probably pretty high in Montreal. I didn't think Montreal fans were that in love with PK now.

They have conflicted feelings about him. The people I talked to (yes, just anecdotal) were frustrated with the wide open style that he played and his propensity to make mistakes when playing aggressively, but they also blame the coaching staff/front office for running him off and respect the hell out of him for donating $10m to the children's hospital and following through on the donation even after he was traded to Nashville.

Yeah, definitely a conflicting opinion on him from Montreal. Many hate him and are so salty. Cry about he's all about the show and not the game. Just butthurt...............but they're French Canadians, so what do you expect.

I think PK needed a change of scenery more than anything. Montreal is a blue blood among blue bloods. You're supposed to play the game a certain way and conduct yourself in a certain way. If you don't do that there, they run you out of town eventually even if you are a great player.

He's in a less traditional hockey environment now, playing for a coach that allows his players to play outside of the box a little bit, and he isn't "the" guy on the team anymore.

The fanbase loved Subban, but he and Patches were unfairly scapegoated for the fact that they had an unbelievably bad roster beyond them and Carey.

it looks like I'll be in Nashville on Sunday, I never thought I would get this excited about hockey but boy I'm excited

Prepare yourself my friend. Made the trip down there this past weekend and it was easily one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in my life and I was just watching it at a bar on Broadway. It is quite the spectacle and should be an amazing experience with the CMA fest going on as well.

Fans there like him plenty. That's why they were so furious about the trade

It's not like they got fleeced or got a scrub back. It was a good trade for both teams. Long term, I think it's easily better for Nashville.

Same here. I spent most of the night at Tin Roof

Trade Johansen (AN RFA) and Rinne tho, right?

I'm sorry.. I really can't let that go. I remember why I stopped posting on a UT board about hockey.

They were barely .500 and the playoffs looked like a pipe dream.

You must be a woman. And I've said I was wrong. Get over it

To be honest, given Rinne's performance over the past few regular seasons and his contract, combined with age, nobody would've traded for him.
