I don't think anyone needs to lose their minds over losing Neal. Remember for 2 of his 3 seasons in Nashville, he only scored 23 goals. Guys who score 23 goals a year don't necessarily grow on trees, but it isn't like he's some kind of crippling loss regarding the offense. It might not seem like it because of his name recognition, but he scored a point just slightly more often than every other game during the regular season this year. He wasn't a consistent night in, night out contributor that Nashville absolutely needed production from to win games.
He's a good player, but also very one-dimensional (if he isn't sniping goals he's largely invisible and doesn't contribute in other areas) and had a penchant for taking bad penalties. Also wasn't great in the playoffs the last couple years. Good player, but he can be replaced.
