Official Nashville Predators Thread

Maybe its me but I'd change up that Miikka Salomaki, Mike Fisher, Ryan Hartman line. Sure they bring some physicality but the offensive production isn't there IMO. I know Hartnell is older and slower but Hartnell brings some gritty physical play too and adds a little more scoring chances.

That line played well in game 1. Hartman had like 7-8 hits last game and the line as a whole played well. Scoring hasn’t been the issue so far, team as a whole has got to lock it down better on D. That being said though Hartnell will get some action at some point soon. He’s a huge presence in front of the net.

Damn a lot deflections today. Can’t really blame Peka on most of the goals today. Maybe the first one.

Good to get the 2-0 start to the series! Preds need to clean up the penalties and lock down on D but I’ll take 2-0 all day.

Kind of felt like we didn't deserve to win that one but a win is a win. We should start to wear them down over the next couple of games.

There were some rumblings from Washington that Forsberg might not be as good as they thought he'd be when they drafted him. They seemed down on him a little, but I'm not really sure why and they obviously were wrong.

That’s how I remembered it as well.

Not the most highly skilled, but undoubtedly the deepest.

The Preds have no real weaknesses. They throw all 4 lines at you, have guys on their 3rd defensive pairing that would be #1s elsewhere, and have one of the best goalies in the league.

I see two ways the Preds don't make a deep run (defined by at least making it to the West Final or Cup Final):

1. Pekka gets worn out
2. They take lots of penalties and are unable to kill them all. The rough patch that they fell into in late March was caused by that. They took lots of penalties and got into 5-on-3s, giving up lots of PPGs.

Pekka only played 59 regular season games. They rested him all year for they playoffs
