Official Nashville Predators Thread

Pekka let his team down big time tonight. Josi and Ellis were invisible this postseason. Nowhere close to good enough.

Yes it did. Glad you aren't in any position of responsibility. Making snap judgments based off a loss to probably the best team in hockey.. lol.

Pretty sure best team in hockey was Nashville. So yes, If I'm GM, I'm making a few changes. Embarrassed at home.. again.

Im glad you are here to shower us in your unwarranted positivity.
It's called perspective homie. Not even 10 years ago this team almost got chased out of Nashville. Now we're a perennial contender for the foreseeable future. Pretty good position to be in. Making it to the Conference Finals and Cup Finals is the exception rather than the rule for every team in hockey. Hell, look at Pitt this year or Washington for the last 6 years. Great season and good luck to Winnipeg the rest of the way! And you losers can have fun wallowing in your negativity.

Some of y’all are acting like we just lost to a **** team. Only two points separated these two teams during the playoffs. Preds got beat by one of if not the hottest team in the NHL right now. It’s playoff hockey. Preds didn’t sac up. End of story. Doesn’t mean they should ship off their vezina winning goalie and tear apart a defense who was best in the league all year.

Yay rah!

The strides that the predators organization has made over the last few years is something to be proud of. Many thought it wouldn't work out in Nashville but they have proved many wrong, including myself. The atmosphere and the team that has been built is remarkable.

Agree.

Pitt has won 5 Cups and was 2 time defending champs; so comparing us blowing our best season to them losing this year doesn’t fly.

Exactly (although the Vezina hasn't been awarded yet). But no, Poile (the all time winningest GM in NHL history) should totally listen to OJJ who probably never watched a hockey game before 2010.

The biggest problem I have is Turris disappeared in the playoffs. You don't trade for a guy and sign him to a six year/$36 million dollar extension for him not to show up when it matters most.

Yeah, that was troubling...most of his career hasn't he shown out in the playoffs? May have been a case of him going ice cold at the exact wrong time.

Two decades of having absolutely zero nice things in sports continues. What did Fulmer give up to the Devil for 1998?

It's absolutely miserable. Now I have to pray the Vols can just make a bowl next year. An who knows how the Titans will perform. I've been cursed with horrible teams, and teams that have mental meltdowns in the postseason when there actually great.

Lol. I’ve been watching playoff hockey too long to know that any team can lose to any team in any given series. This isn’t the NBA where the top team in each conference has a cake walk to the conference finals before hitting adversity. Sucks, but welcome to playoff hockey.

No, the point is that sometimes very good teams don't make it out of the second round. **** happens.

But when you’ve won several titles, losing isn’t as big of a deal. When you’ve never won and your best team can’t make it out of the second round, it’s a kick in the balls.

Definitely, and I love the team and what they've been able to accomplish in Nashville.

I'm just a miserable sports fan. The last decade of Vols football alone has taken its toll.

Try being a Titan, Vol, Grizzlies, and Reds fan. I wonder if I just enjoy pain and suffering.
