Official Nashville Predators Thread

Going to miss Hartman, I liked the energy he brought but for a team that expects to win it all I'd rather have a guy like Simmonds on the roster. He's not what he once was but he still brings some physicality to the line up and another weapon on the power play. What is the scouting report on Granlund? I'm just glad Fiala is going. It seems like he turned the puck over every chance he got.
Granlund is a 60+ point scorer. Only a few years older than Fiala. Still under contract thru 2020

As expected Hamhuis placed on IR, Matt Donovan recalled from Milwaukee. Subban isn't expected to play tonight either.

Also, unless the Preds exit in the first round, that 4th becomes a 3rd. So basically the Preds have thier 1st and 4th round picks left. But we didn't give up our 2 best prospects and got better

Poile showed again why he's one of the best.

The Simmonds pick is in 2020. Unless I'm missing something we still have our 1st and 2nd round picks as well in that draft. The other pick we're losing that class is the 7th we sent to New York for McLeod.

You're right. It's hard to keep up lol

Its all good, I'm excited I really wanted Simmonds in gold.
Him and Boyle definitely help.

Simmonds and Alex Ovechkin are the only players in the NHL to score 10-plus power-play goals in each of the previous five seasons.

I get that Fiala is talented but Granlund is better NOW and that's what matters for this push. And he's still got a year on his contract (and Fiala will probably get paid off his potential this summer).

Simmonds is expected to play tomorrow against St. Louis but Poile doesn't know when Granlund will play (his fiancé is having his first kid).

Seems like Fiala might need a new home, and Granlund is a very sound player, seeing as Minnesota will be going backwards to move forward this looks to work out for everyone involved.
