The Walls/Cousins team, top to bottom, is more talented than the team this year, no question.

But, as a "team" the group this year isn't even comparable to that group. If you had to make me pick, I'd take Walls and Cousins because Davis 1 on 1 with Cousins would be destruction. And I don't see any current KY kid who could guard Wall.

I think it's safe to say, no player on the team this year will have a better career in the NBA than Wall or Cousins. One is a walking double double and the other may be the fastest player in the NBA. Davis will be good, a solid 3rd guy maybe, but he will be the next hasheem thabeet before he is the next Dikembe Mutombo

The difference maker is Davis. When you absolutely can't bring it inside it cramps your style. 2010 is no match for this defense.

Disagree. Guys like him exist in the NBA. He's like a less masculine brittney griner, he's just dominant because nobody is like him in college ball. Seeing what cousins has done in the NBA consistently, despite his insanity, tells me that one on one he would have no problem handling Davis, especially considering davis's best chances for blocks come from help side plays.

I mean, I've seen three possessions in a row now where davis has failed to score against an average defender. Cousins scores at will against NBA defenders.

And that's not even discussing the Wall/teague matchup, which would just be pathetic.

Maybe but this maybe one of ugliest final four teams I have seen. Davis unibrow and jacked up teeth. Jones jaws looks like he has a mouthful of tennis balls in there. Lamb has weird ears and sleepy eyes. Teague looks like he is sucking on a sour lemon his chin is weird. And poor Wiltjer that kid is just plain goofy looking. This bunch may win by 40 tonight and should because Kansas may just be afraid that Kentuckys ugly is contagious.

Davis' game in the pro's isn't in the paint. he will average 14-18 points per game off of elbow jumpers and offensive rebounds. He will probably average a double/double and 5 blocks within 3 seasons, but will never be a Superstar IMO. Just solid as hell, and a player that NBA GM's would die to have on their squad.

And Kidd-Gilchrist will be the best NBA player off UK ever, including Wall, Cousins, Mashburn, Walker, Chapman etc.

If you got two NBA coaches to take these teams and play them, it would be isolation for cousins nearly every play that isn't a fast break. Bledsoe is a better swing man than the current team has as well. Wall and Cousins single handedly could beat this team. Wall does it when the wizards win against 13 NBA players, Cousins does it constantly as well for a slightly better team.

Best team for an entire season? yes. But they would not win a seven game series against their older version.
