My better half is a GT alumnus. It really is a great school if your daughter could compromise on Atlanta.
I am not exaggerating in this post. She got overwhelmed yesterday before touring Vandy. They arrived early and walked to Starbucks for coffee. The "big city" of Nashville (keep in mind Vandy is West End and not downtown) intimidated her. McMom said she settled down once on campus. She might implode in Atl at GT.
So, if you remember I had 2 surgeries earlier this year. I haven't fully recovered from my 2nd surgery and I saw my doctor today and she thought the best solution was to have another surgery to cut out the tissue that won't heal.
FML. I told her no, but I'll probably change my tune after another month of this.

Man, i was hoping your last procedure was your final one.
Did she offer any explation why you're not healing as expected?
Not really. She is as confused as me.
It's hard to pull the trigger on this because my life has normalized, but I still deal with some pain and some inconvenience. Even if the pain goes away, the extra tissue will always be an inconvenience. After thinking about it for the 40 minutes in the car-ride home, I am pretty sure I will do the surgery in a month (it's been 70 days and she suggested 90 days to let it all play out).
I am going to lower my fiber intake, so my colon isn't so active and I'm going to sit less (I probably sit 8 hours a day, and that's with me standing for 2+ hours at my desk). See if that helps.

Be careful. That's a great joke, but I made an equally great joke* about a friend with colon problems and look at me now.
*They thought he had ulcerative colitis and I asked him if they would do the colonoscopy with a kaleidoscope.

Huff, serious question here. Do you have a squatty potty? It was on Shark Tank and this thing is pure gold my man. I can see where this may help you when you have a bowel movement.
