I feel for ya, Dink. I recently broke it off with my girl. She's out in Cali now for school. But it's like she was seriously overcompensating when it became a long distance relationship; she kept talking about moving in together after she graduated(I wasn't even extremely opposed to it), but then, kids.. so much talk about kids..

I told her the distance was just too much to try and deal with now(which was partially true), and that she should try and have fun and do her own thing on the west coast, and maybe we could reassess after she was back here. Of course, this immediately caused her to believe there was someone else and I had been cheating on her ever since she left town. So it goes.

She's too good for me anyway, and I mean that with complete sincerity- not just a line to make it easier for her. I ain't dad material. At least not anytime soon.

They are, you just have to go back to the Upper Carboniferous period to find their common ancestors, the first amniotes. They were small, lizard looking creatures whose eggs could survive on land- a pretty big deal back in the day. They divided into two main groups, the sauropsids(which become dinosaurs, reptiles, birds, etc) and synapsids(of which mammals are descended). Over 300 million years ago is a long time, but blood is thicker than water, or something.

People from Oklahoma never cease to amaze...

So this morning I had to see off a trip to Dallas. And in honor of the Smokey Grays, I don my Smokey Gray hoodie and white Power T hat. Now it should be plainly obvious it's Tennessee gear since the word "Tennessee" is in bright orange and three inches high on the sweatshirt. But what do I hear from not one, not two, but three people?

"Why are you rooting for Texas?"

Seriously? Can you not read the letters? Texas doesn't even have the same amount of letters. And after I look down at my shirt to make sure none of the embroidery came loose and the N didn't magically transform itself into an X. And even giving them the benefit of the doubt on spelling it Texes, it still doesn't work.

Anyway, I get a half hearted "oh" and "they should have won against OU." Drives me up the wall.

Arkies are just as bad. They mistake the power T for Texas. I witnessed a guy in Best Buy a few ago with a Tennessee hat on. I spoke to him, dumbass thought he had a Texas hat on.

Well, they got that part right.

It's about time for someone at Tennessee to go after Texas for trademark infringement. Who knows, they might even make enough for a buyout...

Gibson, Epiphone, Teisco, or gtfo.
I have a '74 Fender Strat, and I just bought a Taylor 12 string. Love the 12er. I also have a 70ish vintage Ovation 6er that still sounds great as well.

Just can't see buying a Japanese guitar. Something about that just bothers me.
