Don't sign a contract with a gym. Better yet... Go on Craig's list looking for a bowflex. You'd be surprised at how cheap you can find them. Got mine barely used with the extra power rods (ha-ha) included for under 200.
I always make sure they take xrays on the first visit. I know a few people who've went to "farmer Joe" and gotten screwed up bad because he just wants to bend and twist ya instead of actually treat you.
Never thought about the bowflex...hmmmmm
The last guy I had did the x-rays. My hips are bad about twisting out of place and causing pain. My neck bothers me as well. He addressed both those issues. I felt like a new man.
My daughters friend works at a chiropractors office. I thought about checking them out.
Ok. Couple things here I need opinions on.
My 6 pack has turned in to a 12 pack. Thinking of joint a gym. Now that I'm living in town, this will be easier for me to do. I need to know what to look for, what yo ask, what if any supplements to take??
I'm going to start going back to a chiropractor. Mine moved back to Tennessee after his wife graduated college a couple years ago. I know this has differing opinions but I've had great success with him. Anything that I need to look for in the new one?
Depending on what your goals are, you may not need a gym. Better physique?,more stamina?, explosive power? Workouts and nutritional recs are different based on results desired.
I 2nd what Snyper said. DCs should take a history, consult with you about your conditions, examine, and use diagnostic procedures to determine if you're a candidate for efficacious treatment. Also, a treatment plan should be defined with goals and checkpoints along the way.
Physique and stamina are the priorities.
Should the goals and check points not be designated by the DC? My end game is to not be in pain and not using prescriptions. I hate taking meds.
The goals for trt should be established by and the DC as should the trt needed to achieve (if possible) your goals. Check points aka reassessment are outlined in the professional ' s standards of care. DCs,PTs, etc are generalky re evaluating every 10-12 treatments.
Stamina and physique can be attained with aerobic exercise, a lower calorie diet that doesn't skimp on high quality proteins, and moderate weight training (which you may be able to do without a gym).
Where are you at OB? My Range Rover is headed to Little Rock in a few weeks.
Fort Smith brother.
Enough of a heads up and I may be able to come that way... You visiting for pleasure or is it for work?
Hopefully something is decided on a job for me by then. I sent out some more resumes yesterday (keeping options open-the rail road company that gave me the conditional offer doesn't seem to be in a hurry) and I'm at a impasse right now.

Dropping the range rover off at Nigels Car Place to get either head work or new motor. I think it is just a blown head gasket. What are you trying to do with the RR?
