Well, unlike aircraft carriers, it's kind of hard to move an Air Force Base to warmer climates when it gets cold.

But unlike Eglin Air Force Base, you only got to watch Spring Break on MTV. I got to live it

I used to go to Panama City and Ft Walton for years during spring break, I also lived it in Daytona during the crazy years with MTV.

I am planning to look around in Florida for a second "winter" home this Spring if all goes well. How far down do I need to go to have decent weather in the Winter? I want to be on the ocean with maybe some shallow water ( a Bay like at Ft. Walton and Cape San Blas) close by for kayaking and paddle boarding, also a golf course with a driving range.

There use to be several people from East Tennessee that bought places in the Bradenton- Sarasota area and stayed during the winter.
