I think we end up a 6. It's getting bad and not a lot of promise.

We needed to build up wins on the lesser teams of the schedule before having a tough final stretch. It's not happening. We are in a really bad spot. This could easily fall of the rails to a 7-8 seed, too.

Let’s not get carried away. The losses were devastating bc of how they happened but it’s not like they were to completely trash teams and both were obviously extremely close

Will we get a break because JJJ wasnt playing tonight. Assuming hes back by the SEC tourney and we play well.

Everytime I think I know what they look at they change it. I keep seeing our losses this year arent terrible but imo they are, but last year I thought winning the SEC tourney would help and it didnt.

Yeah I used to push back heavy against people who said the conference tourney wasn't truly considered by the committee but last year kinda moved me off that

I was pretty convinced of that back in 2008 when it was clear even if we had won the SECT we wouldn’t have gotten a #1 seed.

Exactly—as mad/gutted we as fans are—I can’t imagine how frustrated those players are losing these games in that fashion. The team is just not doing the easy stuff that helps you win games. FTs, turnovers, bad fouls, etc. You know they are going to be doing some soul searching the next couple days and it’s not a good time to be searching with Bama coming to town. I hate it for these players and the team needs a hand up not a kick in the butt.

The SEC tournament only seems to have meaning for your NCAA fate if you are not going to make the tournament and you somehow win it. We saw last year that the brackets are already filled out for the most part before championship Sunday happens. We beat Kentucky twice, won the SECT. We were 26-7, UK was 26-7. Lunardi was assuring everyone that Tennessee was getting a 3 and not a 2 no matter what they did in the championship game (he'd been fed a leak that this was happening) and he was right. Same record, two head to head wins, and a conference tournament title, meant nothing.

A one seed was very much in line if Tennessee hadn't lost two games on buzzer beaters this week. I hope this somehow triggers something instinctively in March for the team.

Being a 2 seed or a 5-12 seed , they are gonna get bounced early . Let’s save the embarrassment and take the worse seed. Won’t look as bad as being a 2 and getting destroyed.

Stop being dramatic. Nobody has “destroyed” TN this year. 4 of the 6 loses were single digits.

Some of you guys are just toxic, terrible "fans". It's like you get a woody thinking about us losing so you can be right.
