Duke is the darlings of the ACC by beating UVA.
The powers that be need that Cinderella story and they’ll do everything they can to make it happen.

Duke is one of the hottest teams in the country. Why would we want to draw them in the Round of 32 even if it’s in Florida?

We were one of the hottest teams last year, it’s been proven time and time again that being hot doesn’t make a difference. Duke as a 5 is far from the worst draw we could’ve gotten.

Focus on Louisiana, Oral Roberts could upset Duke.

Both are great points. Louisiana is the only game that matters, period.

And ORU isn’t a slouch and has some interesting matchups. They could make it a game, especially if Duke is looking at the Sweet 16 already.

Well also A&M played a horribly soft non conference schedule and they didn’t get rewarded for it.

That is absolutely true. What’s crazy is the SEC was given respect with 8 teams in, but then they seeded the entire conference like we are trash.

San Diego State for sure, and possibly St Mary’s…I would’ve taken Miami over Duke. We are also ignoring Duke drew arguably the toughest 12, we didn’t wanna face Oral Roberts, so they’re stuck with them.

Seeded 14th overall is still pretty fair given we were ranked 18th last week and then lost to MO.

I also think we are ignoring that this team seems to recognize big name opponents and play with a little more chip on their should…played very well at Arizona, beat Kansas on neutral court, beat Texas and Alabama at home. Our struggles have typically come against less heralded teams.
