PS. Thanks 66, 67, and everyone who participated...yeah, it wasn't pretty, but, we're just getting started...was hoping the injury bug wouldn't bite us in the azz like it has the last couple years...but, it is what it is...:thud:

At risk of being Capt Obvious, I thi k this is huge issue. We can debate the pitching decisions at length (coach and players) but we have young tallent that had to contend with much more pressure than the freshman birds from SC. Hitting matters. Did anyone see the BP before any of the 3 games for both TN and SC? I did. This is not a slap at Simcox. Nothing but love. I did see a difference in approach. Maybe what we do pays off in the long run and builds a stronger hitting team later ? It looked like our guys were trying to go oppo on every practice swing and seemed frustrated when they missed like they struck out in practice? SC had BP that looked like a HR Derby and having a blast...or blast off. It was a missile launching contest. Is it any surprise that they have an order that scores at will? Should we be surprised that they had 6 different guys that dropped bombs? Im not. They practice to make your pitchers pay every time a ball is high in the zone....and they did.

Big weekend next weekend against Mississippi State at Starkville and UT can't afford to get swept again for the rest of the SEC season if they expect to make it to Hoover for the SEC Tournament.

Any word on Neely?

I am starting to believe Serrano is just snakebit at UT. He is a good coach but these guys can't catch a break. Next weekend should be a war at MSU with both clubs in desperation mode.

Good to hear Neely is likely ok. Vandy really stunk it up on the mound in relief today. They are really missing Everett, unfortunately.

I'm actually more concerned about AMMO...and Kyle, and...and...I still refuse to believe that they guys won't turn it around...barring any more injuries...this season could test your fanhood...:shades:...:)...:crossfingers::)

Hopefully Ammo will be back soon, we need bats. A pitcher playing right and a hitless freshman DHing in the 9 hole is not ideal.

Maybe a better analogy from my favorite IT guy at work...my new computer is a peice of junk!..really?...lets take a look at it...oh I see the the problem...its a pic nic issue..Person In Chair Not In Computer.
