Official Super Bowl XLII Thread

Either way - Brady played alooooot more than PM in his record breaking season.

Plus the Pats passed for TDs more than any team inside the 1-10 yard line. They knew they could have just as easily scored with a rushing TD.

Peyton passed for a lot of short TDs, but that was often due to Edge not being great at the goal line. Some might recall how the Pats often tried to score in the final minutes of games that were already clearly won. Peyton had the ball inside the 25 against the Ravens, with about a minute left. I believe at this point he was 1 TD pass away from tying the record. He took a knee and left.

Does anyone know if that was Peyton's wife that jumped up during one of his brothers TDs, I thought it was strange he was by himself and then thought maybe he wanted it that way?

The best thing about this is Tom Brady's arrogance.

Laughing at Plax's score prediction and insulted by the 17 points given to the Pat's...

Brady couldn't even meet that 17. Good call on that one Tom. :good!:

There was a game he played in this year that he would have beat Brady's single game TD record but got pulled after the first drive of the second half. Cant remember the game though?

They were playing Baltimore after the Ravens just missed beating the Patriots. Taking PM out cost me a critical fantasy game too. I needed a monster night from PM, and I ended up one TD shy of winning. If Dungy and the Colts were as classless as the Patriots organization, I'd have won that fantasy game. :)

I just saw the highlights on NFL Primetime. Eli looked shocked when Plax caught the GW pass.

I agree with the poster who mentioned how much fun it is to laugh at all of the "new" Patriots fans.

I almost forgot about the brilliance of going for it on 4th and 13 instead of attempting a makeable FG. :eek:lol:

I just read on the blogs over at ESPN that Bill mumbled the whole time during his press conference. One of the Pats said that he really didn't know what to say.. when asked about the allegations of him filing the Rams walkthrough, he said he hadn't heard it, and when asked why he went for it on 4th down instead of kickign a FG, he said "But it was 50 yards".

And all this puts a smile on my face, does that make me a bad person? :)

Windy is a Panthers fan - but also a Patriots fan (bandwagon of course) because they're team actually wins and she has a scary obsession with Tom "arrogant" Brady.

i thought windy was a panthers fan.

I am a panthers fan, and only a panthers fan. After the panthers didn't make it to the playoffs I chose to root on Brady because he is hot! Really had no reason to cheer for his team or any other team. It is no different after Indy went out or the titans went out, or any other of your guys teams went out that you chose to root on another team or against some particular team hence rooting for another team. Plus I think its hilarious to get a rise out of you guys and get you guys to call me bandwagon fans when you don't even know what you are talking about. :eek:lol:

Nothing wrong with being a bandwagon fan....but dont be an idiot and know nothing about them....great win by the Giants BTW.

I just want to say congrats to NYG. Way to go Eli and team you guys were the better team last night. Good game.

Its going to be a loooong day. Go ahead Jake, let me have it. *sigh*

I predicted it.

The G-Men all the way baby. I said if they were to get the Pats in a dogfight, just a nasty, hardhitting game, they had a chance. And in the end, they hung around long enough to pull it out.

Bellicheck is an ass. They raised hell when Moss left the field early, why aren't they doing it to him?

You won't catch too much flak from me

Good call Justin, you were right. Bellicheck really pissed me off last night by doing that, that was classy let me tell ya. :banghead2:

Who's partying now?
Giants receiver Amani Toomer on Manning keeping plays alive: “What can you say? You saw the plays he made. He was able to elude the rush at just the right time when we needed it the most. I can't say enough about how Eli played.”

Toomer said the Patriots had been inviting the Giants to their victory parties.

“They were inviting us to their parties after the game,” he said. “They showed us no respect.”

this makes this win over the Pats that much sweeter:yes:
