Official Tennessee at Vanderbilt Game 1 Thread - 7:30 PM - SEC+/ESPN3

If it is a talent problem, then it's a recruiting problem, what's a large part of recruiting facilities, who's job is it to improve the facilities the AD's therefore it all comes back to our AD not viewing baseball as anything but a nussiance

Tennesse has better facilities than Vandy IMO. At least it's close. Baseball recruiting has little to do with facilities.

I've been in every SEC facility except the refurbished park at Alabama. Tennessee right now has a better facility than Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Missouri. They are comparable to Auburn and it's very close with Vandy. There is a lot of good programs fighting for players. UT has just not done anything on the field to create a situation where enough premier guys want to be a part of the program.

LNS is comparable to Hawkins. Vandy's pitching lab is a distinctive feature, though, and once Vandy's 12 million dollar facility opens there will be a gap.

Never been to Auburn's facility but I had heard that it was really nice.

I can't speak to all of the facilities, but I have heard someone on the SEC network last year say that basically every team in the west was now ahead of all of the east teams save for South Carolina in terms of facilities. Perhaps he was talking atmosphere and capacity, but I got the impression that he thought they were better. Of course that's just one person's opinion, but someone who's seen them all. Obviously Kentucky will take a leap forward next year when their stadium opens.

Florida has had more players drafted in the last seven drafts than any school in the country.

Would love to see the breakdown of first rounders/top 10 picks and top 5 overall picks.

Also pitching talent is the biggest factor. I do agree florida is close but without seeing the actual breakdown I think Vandy should have won more because of their elite arm talent.
