You called our team laughable when we are in the Elite 8, hardly laughable. Now answer the question. Pearl should be on the court because he hustles every minute, plays solid D, and mainly because we don't have other options at that position that's why. Your turn again

He is a smart player, he gives 110% all the time, he is a solid defender...he wasn't the reason we lost the game, no player was, they got a few more 50-50 plays and a few more 50-50 calls...it happens.

Now crawl back under your rock.

Who among you really believe this is a national championship team ? Really. They made a helluva lot out of what they had and more than most coaches / teams would have.
Give the credit and quit complaining.

Well, one point loss...Lose it on free throws with 1.8 left...Not really the way a game oif this magnitude should end....You know, you can blame alot of things...Wayne's missed shot right at the goal with the game tied at 66...BDub's missed free throws, Scotty's missed free throws...It's all about being there before...Michigan State has been there and the Vols haven't...I leave watching this game feeling the Vols were the better team...I guess Izzo did some things, some little adjustments, that helped his team win...the Vols didn't look greatly overmatched in the coaching department...It looked like after Sparty took that 8 point lead at 59-51, they were just holding on for dear life...Looked to me like UT put it in another gear...The last foul, I mean if it's a foul with 13 minutes left in the game it's a foul with 1.8 second left in the game....I think UT got jobbed on a few of those contested shots at the rim but what are you going to do ??...It's been like that all year...I don't much understand the shot by Hopson with 11.2 left...I doubt that's what Pearl drew up...Hell, he wasn't even open...The missed free throws in the second half and the second chance points by MSU in the first half is what killed the Vols in this game....

Who would have thought Tennessee would have been in this spot on New Year's Day ??..Who would have thought the Vols would have been here after the SECT loss to Kentucky ??...What a run...What a bunch of seniors.....What a bunch of coaches...This hurts...It hurts alot...I hope the guys watched a little bit of the MSU celebration and remember what this feels like and use it for motivation for the offseason....

Ok I agree he isnt the reason we lost the game...he is a smart player?? ( cant execute a 2 on 1 )...he is a great defender??( got used in the post like crazy )... The effort part I can somewhat agree with...

Lane it's becuz we dont speak to you anymore......You dont care about the university, team, and i seriously doubt you have watched half a dozen of our games. that is why no one replies to you, go concentrate on usc footy footy football

Tatum is so much better than Scotty. Heck, Pearl is better than Scotty. JP and Chism and Williams played their hearts out. Bad calls and Scotty lost the game for us.

The fact that you show up and start trashing Vol players and then dodge questions about your loyalties speak volumes about how much credibility anyone should place into your evaluation of our players.

I saw ONE(ONE MOTHER F'IN POSSESSION) where he got abused in the post. That's it. Hell, Wayne even got used in the post today. Green and Morgan are beasts

No bigger than someone calling one of our players garbage on an internet message board that laid it on the line like all of them did. It took alot of balls to take that last shot.

I have never been so proud of a team and coaching staff than I am now!

im usually one who defends this team and everyone on it... but im going to have to agree with you on the fact that Kenny didnt see much time (3-4 minutes i believe). Get Brian Williams a moment to rest and put Kenny out there or something. B Will was obviously tired as shown at the FT line.

Pearl is in the game because he hustles and has a better chance at getting the 50-50 balls that werent going UTs way today. I understand why Pearl was out there but he wasnt out there for that long. I think 11 minutes. So people need to stop whining about Pearl IMO

I watched OSU yesterday, I didn't know he was related to Bruce at that time but it was clear that he sucked. It all made sense once they said it was his son.

What is this? Little League? Get him out of the game, hell he doesn't deserve a spot on virtually any D1 team.

K. Hall should see the floor before S. Pearl 1000 out of 1000 games but he doesn't due to "daddy ball" but congrats to CBP he did a great job w/ this team except for that one flaw (junior seeing minutes). The team played hard but in the final 5 minutes BW doesn't even come close on two free throws; SH goes 2-4 from the line and Chism missed from point blank range. In close games u have to make plays and we didn't make enough... But great season!!! I sure hope SP isn't a regular in our rotation next year but I'm sure he will be - that's the only thing I hate, every time he does something good he screws up shortly after (i.e. threw directly to other team on fast break in 2H after a steal).
