Lawrence I think UT could pull a good coach. Would he be a headliner? Probably not. Was Bruce when he was hired? No, but people got behind him at the beginning. I think UT would make a surprisingly good hire...barring that Hamilton completely screws the pooch and ends up signing someone like the head coach from Savannah State.

Hamilton is a liability, but you're right. UT would find a good coach. The facilities and potential are too good not to attract solid candidates.

For all that appears to be wrong with Pearl, he's the best coach UT's had in a long time.

When Pearl came in his teams were fun to watch and easy to get behind. They typically did not match up in talent, but the system he put in originally fit those teams, and gave them a chance to win. That system got him to a point, but is hard to win with in March. He has upgraded the talent, and changed the system with some success, but i think you are seeing his limits now.

UT can get a coach IMO.

Same ole, same ole. Inept at the free throw line and a desperation shot at the end. If i were coach I would set standards for free throw shooting in games such as 70 for C, 80 minimum for F and 90 minimum for guards. If you fall below that you run after practice until your tongue is hanging out. I guarantee if these guys had some tough love on this part of the game, it would improve drastically. At the end of games if time allows call a damn time out and draw up a play that has a chance. These desperation heaves with no time left to rebound is getting old fast !
