zebras maybe?
Ohhhh, so the refs forced those 2 TO's and McBees shot in OT. Makes perfect sense now.

It isn't one or the other. It is both. If the Cold took care of business then they would have won. If the refs weren't pathetic... They would have won. The refs WERE awful tonight. Discounting that is foolish.

The refs had a really really bad stretch in the 2nd half where they gave Bama every loose break. We overcame it and ultimately losing the game was no one's fault but our own.
I don't understand why we can't objectively look at the game and say it was both, because that is the truth. It was the refs fault too.
I find that many people who said the refs gave us the Georgia game are the same ones who say, "We can blame nobody but ourselves" when we lose. You can't have it both ways.
The truth is, either one of those things (our play and the officiating) could have changed the outcome of the game, but unfortunately, neither one did.
The reason is that we still came back and had every chance to win this game. Despite the awful officiating in the 2nd half (and yes, it was downright brutal for a stretch) we still had the ball at the end of the game with a chance to win and took yet another bad 3 pointer on our last possession. We just don't learn. We aren't good in close games.
I see your point, but if that bad stretch you refer to was called fairly, would Tennessee have won the game?
If so, why is it not reasonable to hold the refs PARTIALLY responsible?
It would have helped, certainly, but it's part of the game. When you still have a chance to win, which we had numerous ones, you can't put it on the refs anymore. It's not like we lost by 10. We lost in OT, again.
