Official Tennessee vs Vandy Game Thread...

It's not a great Vandy offense, but that is a much improved Tennessee defense.

The UT half-court offense could still use some work.

After all of the great defense that was played on Ogilvy throughout the half, they let him touch the ball totally unguarded to set up the 3ptr.

Vandy is shooting 18% from the field, did not take advantage of that. Vandy will shoot better in the second half. Down to the wire it will go.

surprisingly that 19% shooting isn't solely from poor shots. There was a lot of good D in that.

Color me impressed.

We normally come out after half and put the hammer down. I'm pumped.

We have to play smart the first 5 minutes. It will be like deja vu all over again. Vandy gets hot, hits 3-4 wide open 3's in a row, and we are suddenly down 10.

That half proved two things...

1. The SEC is as bad as I thought.
2. These are two God-awful teams...

poor offensive output =/= poor teams

Honestly, did you see the ASU/UCLA game last week?(two teams that would be the class of the pac-10, admittedly) There were scoring droughts of 7 and 13 minutes by ASU and UCLA, respectively, and they looked an awful lot like what we just saw.
