Cardinals did a solid job at the deadline. I was satisfied with the returns they got. They got some pitchers who could really help in the future. They still need to add 2-3 starters this offseason if they really want to "compete" in 2024 like Mozeliak has been saying.

Cardinals lose game 1 of the series with Tampa. Mikolas takes the loss (6-8). Pallante was once again awful, allowing 2 earned runs in 1/3 of an inning while allowing 4 hits. Mikolas did pitch well, he was taken out a bit early by Marmol (another bad managing decision by him this season).

Agreed. Oil does stuff like this all too often. He doesn’t know how to manage his pitching staff.
