Official Thread of the St. Louis Cardinals

I don't know why everyone thought Wainwright kept hanging his curveball??? His curveball is wrapped very tightly... it's sharp and, as the Mets showed, very hard to hit solid.

Does anyone know when they decide on NL and AL MVP and Cy Young awards?? I thought it was usually after the League Championship Series.

Think it comes after the postseason. I dunno though.

Reyes vs. Verlander in Game 1. The Cardinals have already turned it into a 4 out of 6 series for themselves.

The last one was a great one, but he really was missing a lot up high. Had he not gotten a couple of calls, it might have gotten uglier than just bases loaded.

Got to give him credit though, he made pitches when he had to. I don't think he's a guy you really want to depend on long term in the back of the bullpen though.

Nope, I'm hoping to see him in the starting rotation next season.

I'm hoping to see the Reyes that pitched a one-hitter to the White Sox. Yes, I know that one hit was a HR, and that the White Sox won 1-0.... but you gotta like the chances if he brings that kind of game to the table.

Go Cards!

Let's hope so.

They've been saying Wainwright will be in the starting rotation next year. The bad news about that is Isringhausen will be back (trying) to close games... oye.

Yeah, maybe the surgery he had can correct whatever the hell his problem was.

Here's to a game 1 win for the Cardinals! :toast:

How does Mr. Baseball and the tards keep winning?

Come on Detroit!

They have as much talent on that team than any team in the MLB.... it's just a matter of playing up to their potential. In this years playoffs, they've obviously started to do that.

I'm a Reds fan...........

It does not hurt that much when they have teams will less than stellar pitching staff's.

Tards suck no matter how much talent they got!

:hi:  :) :p

Haha, okay... I see how it is. Still a little bitter about this year's collapse. :neener2:

Collpase, what are you talking about?

How could any one have known the Reds would be in it as long as they were...........

Of course if we had Mr. Baseball as manager and batted our pitcher 7th or 8th we would have won 150 games!

I'm just glad that baseball season is almost over. That has to be one of the most boring games to watch in all creation. Fun to play, but oh so boring to watch.

Don't be a hater, OWB!

With the Vols playing in Primetime next week, potential scheduling conflict assuming there is a World Series game next Saturday night... if it's not over. :ermm:

Best play of the night so far was when Rolen purposely ran into the back on Inge so he could get the free run. Very smart...

I put this in the "other thread" but I think it bears repeating

Cards--> :bottom: <-- Tigers

Haha... sports analysts don't know jack...

And this is why they play they game! All I have to say is... Hell yes and go CARDS!
