I heard that on the animal also. He was playing de in high school cause he said that's where they needed him. I think he would be a higher prospect if he played lb but that's what we are recruiting him for anyways. He will need development though.

TOS says all on LVs list made it in except Shon Coleman is at Ole Miss. Strong visitor list and hopefully more (commitments) to come.
Rajaan Neal
Nash Nance
Da’Rick Rogers
Glen Stanley
Mychal Rivera
James Stone
Torrian Wilson
Martaze Jackson

Do we have a legitimate shot of getting any of these recruits, or are they just paying lip service to the new coaches?

Glad we have so many professional talent evaluators on here. Makes Chaneys job easier.
I'm not the only one to say it. In terms of playing time, I believe it would be in his best interest to stay at Vandy.

It doesnt take a great football mind to realize a kid doesnt have the arm to play bigtime college football.
There are people who know what they are talking about that disagree with you. But go ahead and keep thinking you have a clue:hi:

Who cares. We have other QBs that can throw the ball to Da'rick Rogers.

I agree about that. If getting Nash gets us Rogers I hope we do. Especially with the way things are now. I was just saying that I don't believe Nash would ever be a starter at UT.

Did you catch the article this week about Chaney's in home visit. Chaney went over what he saw on tape with Nash and told Nash about how his hips and lower body could produce much more arm strength. That alone is what he felt kept other programs from seeing his numbers and production capabilities. Just FYI.

Actually, it does take a good football mind to evaluate talent potential. There is no way to say today that a kid coming in as a freshman will never play or start. There are just way too many variables to take into consideration. Player development is the main job of a coach and I would rather rely on Coach Chaney's evaluation rather than the opinion of a couch potato.

Obviously, Da'rick is not coming without Nance. And it is a no-brainer to take Nance if it will get you Rogers, whether Nance is a career backup or not.

Every team in the country has backups.

Have any of you seen Nash Nance play football? Honestly? I have. He doesnt have the arm to play qb at Tennessee. Of course the coaches are going to talk about his potential. What else are they going to say? Um yea would you please come to UT and never see the field so we have a better shot with your buddy?

Based on what exactly? Being tall and smart? If you cant throw a football at 18 why will you be able to throw a football at 21? This guy benefited from having a stud to throw to. Most of his yards are from screen. It was like that pos Joe Cox at UGA. He had good games because of great receivers.

Ugh... one of the big knocks on both Drew Brees and Philip Rivers coming out of high school was lack of arm strength... How did they turn out? Amazing what a good QB coach can do at improving arm strength.

Rivers played as a true freshman. Arm must not have been too bad.

You just referenced Joe Cox playing at UGA with a lack of arm strength. Now you reference Rivers, saying since he played, then his arm strength must have not been that bad... You totally contradicted yourself.

I said nothing about Cox lacking arm strength. I said he was a piece of **** qb who had good games because of elite talent around him.
