Really needed Indiana to take care of business against illinois. The most likely losses on their remaining schedule… at Purdue won’t hurt them, and against Mich St is kind of a net 0 game for us. Hope they lose to Michigan and maybe slip up against someone else
I really hope we don’t end up as a 5 and have to play Illinois in the 2nd round. Cockburn would eat us alive.

Overall went pretty well for us last night. Rutgers win over Michigan State was big. Sadly Indiana couldn't get it done.

What do we have left, four Quadrant 1 games, possibly 5 if Arkansas is in the top 30 by the last game?

Yes, that is correct. And IMO, this Miss St game Wednesday is at the top of the list for the most important due to the momentum it would create coming back to our home floor before some big time opportunities.

Also it’s probably the most winnable. Fayetteville is always a tough place to play. And If we’re going to be a great team we have to beat someone like Miss St on the road. I thought Colorado might have been a great road win but they have collapsed. Our best true road win is Vandy. Would be really nice to win this one

We match up well from a defensive perspective. Vols weakest spot of the defense is guarding the 3-point line but Miss State is shooting 27% (38/138) in SEC play from three. For reference, the Vols are shooting about 36% (92/259) from three in SEC play. It’s safe to say we shoot and make a lot more three’s than they do. The interior defense must be solid, hold Molinar in check, and rebound. That will get us the win.

To me Molinar is the wildcard. He’s 6’-3” so I assume we will attempt to use our regular switching D to cover him opposed to JJJ attempting to shut him down. He’s an impressive scorer

I think we really need for Auburn to beat Arky, even though I despise Auburn. (is that bad for me to say, considering my granddaughter is in their band?)

We’re not winning the conference, IMO, so it’s best for Auburn to keep winning and pushing other teams further away from us in the conference standings and us to maybe be the one team to upset Auburn.

We control our destiny with Arkansas since we play them h&h. Take care of business then we don’t have to worry about the outcome of other games

The good news is that Arkansas has to play Auburn and Kentucky just like we have to. 2nd place can be had if we go on a tear to end the season but it feels like we are trending towards the 3 seed at this point.

Will the committee be releasing the top 16 this week? I feel like they did so around this time last season.
