Not quite. SC is the #1 seed in the Albany 1 region. Iowa is the #1 seed in the Albany 2 region. Both can make the FF. SC likely has to go through #2 Notre Dame whereas Iowa has #3 LSU and rhen #2 UCLA in the elite 8 matchup (assuming all advance according to their seeding). The best thing about LSU, Iowa, and South Carolina all being in the Albany region means that only 1 of those teams can potentially make it to the final. I’d personally prefer none of them did.
Yes, both can make the FF, but only 1 can advance to the championship game, correct? Not quite. SC is the #1 seed in the Albany 1 region. Iowa is the #1 seed in the Albany 2 region. For the sake of the women's game ratings, people should want Iowa to advance.
Sorry to be so crass. Let the top ten grow the game. I’m looking for winz…Not quite. SC is the #1 seed in the Albany 1 region. Iowa is the #1 seed in the Albany 2 region. Both can make the FF. Nope, South Carolina is on one side of the bracket, and Iowa and LSU are on the other side of the bracket, so South Carolina could meet either of them in the championship game (and couldn't meet them any sooner than that).Yes, both can make the FF, but only 1 can advance to the championship game, correct?
I'm a hater so I wouldn't lose any sleep if Iowa lost in the first round. Personally speaking.

I stand corrected.Nope, South Carolina is on one side of the bracket, and Iowa and LSU are on the other side of the bracket, so South Carolina could meet either of them in the championship game (and couldn't meet them any sooner than that).
Back in 2013, Notre Dame absolutely owned UConn all season long. Beat them 3x, including the conference tourney championship. But then they met in the FF and UConn schooled them.More interestingly, if the LVs make a miracle run, they could face SC in the Semifinal game, replacing TX and as they say the 4th time is the charm....
It will be interesting to see the LSU that comes out to play against MTSU. MTSU will be fired up and wanting another upset win. Will LSU be playing scared or confident? MTSU might be able to capitalize on LSU's TOs where Rice couldn't.LSU has a lot to be concerned about after that game with Rice. MTSU will be a much more difficult opponent.
