I'm sorry, I was just trying to make a point. I suppose I made it rather bluntly and it offended some people or just you. I can/will change my statement to something that's not so lacking of class. Let's say "wet blanket". Done and done.

I understand from reading this thread that you had a point to make as well, and you certainly are entitled to your opinions/"causes", whatever. However, in making your point, it struck me that you're probably the kind of person who would rather listen to a radio show that you hate for 3 hours, so you have something to bang the drum about, instead of listening to something you enjoy for 15 minutes. Just my take.

Oh I don't care that "Girls" thread was moved to another local, and if people come to VN for their Girls fix they aren't very good at the interwebs.

Hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide the girls of threads...

Can we also hide the threads that objectify athletes? I cant stomach the thought of a child who stumbles into Volnation and then feels bad because he cant run a 4.4 40 or bench 400 pounds. Imagine the horror of a young man seeing that we discuss how much of a physical specimen an athlete is while largely ignoring the content of the athlete's head.

What would become of our society if we actually supported the sexist and antiquated idea of buying tickets and packing stadiums to see contests that depend upon the superior fitness of men's bodies as a form of entertainment? I shudder at the thought.

All that and I don't really care what happens to the "girls of" threads. I am just disappointed that those who complain fail to realize the irony in their own untenable position.

Sorry for the rant, Ladies and Gentlemen.

Ridiculous. Uptight people of any variety (religious, atheist, conservative, liberal) ruin it for everyone else. You don't like what someone else has to say, or enjoys, or their beliefs, and it isn't affecting you adversely, leave them be. Live and let live.

I know I don't know you. I said... that judging from what you had written in this thread that you were "probably" the kind of person...I didn't say you were that person. I didn't label you. I guessed at your personality.

Also, I'm not doubting you are a strong female who apparently has strong beliefs on the exploitation of women. I just found your response interesting when someone asked you "why you would click on a thread that you knew would offend you?". You might see how I could make the analogy I did from your response.

It doesn't take a psychiatrist to make an interpretation. And according to you a wrong one.

Moving the "women of" thread out of the Football Forum was essential to today's win. Really allowed to players and fans to focus on football. Great call Freak.
