Common sense would say that a three year coaching ban was a well suited punishment and that he will be ready to coach again after this season. If I'm not mistaken, Pearl, even after being terminated, is still one of the most beloved figures in all of Tennessee athletics. If things tank with Martin (very plausible) and we did have to make a coaching change, Davey Hart would be crazy to not talk with Bruce. He will be coaching somewhere in 2014.

This kind of thought process makes sense. The guy invited recruits over for a damn BBQ. He didn't commit some unforgivable sin. I'm honestly already over it, and when I think of bruce, i'll always think of when he showed up to the lady vols game and has his chest painted. What a damn coach.

I agree. Common sense says he isn't coming back. You just don't re-hire someone who damaged your program. Look, I love Bruce, but that is not a decision you make. No business leader would ever do that.

So freaking relieved!! This is a great effort, and revenging the earlier loss will keep people from using it against our resume come tourney time. Way to go VOLS!!

I almost lost hope with the game last night but this effort today is exactly what most of us expected to come out of the gate. With this win we at least have a decent OOC win and we still have a couple more shots at some with @Wichita State and UVA. Let's wait and see how this team comes along guys!
